The Royal British Legion is at the heart of a national network that supports our Armed Forces community.
We're here through thick and thin – ensuring their unique contribution is never forgotten. We've been here since 1921 and we'll be here as long as they need us. We are the country’s largest Armed Forces charity, with 180,000 members, 110,000 volunteers and a network of partners and charities; helping us give support wherever and whenever it’s needed.
The Dereham & District Branch currently has just over 100 members, on the first Wednesday of every month in the Toftwood Social Club, meetings start at 7:30pm prompt.
We are currently seeking lots of poppies - can you help?
We would like as many as possible between now and November. The aim is to attach them to a camouflage net to cover the pillbox in the Remembrance Garden. It is a much larger project than last year, so Kathy (who is running it) would like to start attaching them as soon as she possibly can because it will certainly take a while. Any size of poppy will be greatly appreciated, especially if you could leave a couple of threads at the back of them for tying onto the net. Email the secretary if you would like to get involved.
