A grand day out is promised – for all ages

Frantic behind the scenes arrangements promise to make this celebration of all things Dereham even better than last year – and that was a huge success with around 3,000 or more visitors. This year there are even more attractions – and the weather is forecast to be fine with no rain all day. Hooray! This means we can all enjoy a GRAND DAY OUT, with loads of things to do and see.

Under an extra special deal this year, Dereham Day visitors can also ride on a Mid Norfolk Railway train absolutely free if they live in either Dereham, Thuxton, Yaxham or Garvestone. To take up this offer, you need to show a Valid ID with your local address at the ticket office at Dereham or to the ticket inspector on the train.

Trains depart Dereham at 10.30, 12.00, 13.45 & 15.30 And Thuxton at 11.10, 12.40, 14.25 & 16.00
