Elderly lady aloneThe final countdown has begun for residents, charities and community groups to submit their applications for grant funding to help develop innovative projects which could help tackle isolation and improve health and-well-being within the Breckland district. Being delivered in partnership with Norfolk County Council Public Health, the Breckland Council Healthy Communities fund is seeking to support projects which tackle three key well-being themes: loneliness, increasing physical activity and improving the health of children and young people. The fund can also be used to help support existing projects to diversify and increase their scope, making them become fully established, successful and widespread across Breckland.

Cllr Paul Claussen, Breckland’s Executive Member for Place, commented: “This innovative funding project is looking to inspire and nurture dynamic and ground-breaking projects that will see local solutions put in place to tackle local issues and make a real difference to Breckland residents.
