‘The A-Z of Curious Norfolk’ – Sarah Doig
Hosted by Dereham Heritage Trust
10 Apr at 19:30 to 10 Apr 21:00
Event Location
Trinity Methodist Church, Trinity Close, Dereham, UK

Join us on Wednesday 10th April at 7.30pm as we welcome local historian and author Sarah Doig for a deep-dive into some of Norfolk’s strangest stories of mysteries, crimes and eccentrics…

“Norfolk’s spectacular coastline, quaint villages, historic houses, bustling market towns and meandering rivers all provide the perfect backdrop for some of the most curious tales from across the centuries. Which eccentric cleric’s final words were ‘Did I make the front page?’ Which annual race’s participants only eat lettuce? Who sold his soul to the devil? Where can you see an alarming life-size effigy in wax, one of only a handful in the country.”

These are just a few of the stories that will be told by Sarah Doig during what promises to be a fascinating evening!
