DEAN MASSER with the CHRIS INGHAM TRIO

Dean Masser – like Dexter Gordon, his long-time musical hero – is a hard-swinging, lyrical saxophonist. Dean will be performing an array of classic Gordon tunes, many of which are now well-known jazz standards. Based in the north-west, Dean first rose to prominence with the legendary Jack Parnell Quartet in the early 1990s when the band recorded an album during a week-long stint at Ronnie Scott’s, a venue Dean has returned to many times since.
This is the first of two explorations of the work of influential saxophone giants presented by the Chris Ingham trio with a guest tenorist.

Dean Masser, tenor sax; Chris Ingham, piano
Owen Morgan, bass; George Double, drums
