27 May at 09:45 to 27 May 12:45
A walk following paths, tracks and quiet roads to the north of Dereham, crossing Rushmeadow - our Meadow in May. We also climb through woodland, walk along Mill Lane (a long dog’s leg track) passing Quebec Woods and returning through the old cemetery to regain the town centre and our welcome refreshment.
The walk is about 6¾ miles, taking about 2¾ hours, including a short break for those bringing mid walk refreshments (or who just want a rest). There are no stiles or steps, and just one gate. Well controlled dogs are welcome on the walk, though open spaces are limited and we do cross and walk along a number of roads.
Tickets cost £7, which includes tea/coffee and cake on return to The George. Booking is essential: further details are available from Ken Hawkins at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 07505 426750.
